  1. I like this weeks assignment, audio recording much more fun than digital image editing.

  2. I cannot load the discussion board to submit my comparison of digital editing software. Can I email it to you or post it on another board? All other discussion boards are loading fine but the one to submit the comparison is just giving me gibberish. Thank you..

  3. Just confirming that we will not actually have anything to post in the EPIC Assignment section for Part 4 (as it is posted in the discussion area).

Also, confirming that we do not need to post the original text script for our introduction since it is posted in week one.

  4. For those of you who are having trouble with large audio files and not being able to post, you need to reduce the file size. You can do this with these two methods. You can install the LAME MP3 exporter ( http://manual.audacityteam.org/help/manual/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#lame ) which will compress your files or you can change the sample rate. To change the sample rate, click on the drop down arrow next to the title of the track, select Set Rate and choose 11,025. The default is 44,100.

  5. Ok…. The problem I am having is the file size is 7M (7,037KB to be exact), and the board only accepts 2M uploads.

  6. I’m confused which introduction do we use to record. What does the introduction consist of and where do we post it.

  7. It is not allowing me to post or upload the .wav file.

  8. Which discussion board should we post the audio introduction into? The digital audio, where we discussed two different software applications?

  9. Is there anything specific you would like us to submit under the assignment tab? I tried to attach my recording but it wouldn’t allow it to submit.

  10. Mr. Jarrell, I was going to download the Audacity program, but rather than 1.3.12 the version available for download is 1.3.13. Is that okay to download?
